Martin Aedma's Estonian Guardpasses From Hell

As mentioned in an earlier post, one guy from Estonia had a very cool way to pass the guard, which completely shut down my own game. Normally I think I can defend my guard pretty well, but against this pressure I was totally lost.

Thanks to Martin for letting me shoot this video, which is exposing all his secrets!! :D

that was really awesome!! love this blog very much!

reminds me of how leo veira passes the gaurd (mostly the second one). also my old instructor esfiha showed us some very similar passes 3-4 years ago i'm going to have to look at again (good thing i keep notes!). learned some interesting details from this that i'm going to try out.

thanks!

Sick as usual. I actually really like the way this was taught and explained. Not a step by step do this do that but more of "this is what I'm thinking about", i.e. angles, "here's how I approach it and a few positions to think about and play with". Drill them like crazy until you find your own way around them and can make them part of your own arsenal. Thank you for this! -Scott, Colorado BJJ, Denver CO.

That was nice. Like the Scott commented, it was good to get some instruction on theory vs. step-by-step mimicry.
